Today, Pilates is at the peak of its global popularity.  In Greece in 2025, every neighbourhood has at least two Pilates studios, not to mention gyms.  However, as with everything that has a mass hype, its essence often gets lost.  Quality declines, tradition get lost, and authenticity gives way to commercial interests.

And yet, there will always be those who make a difference.  There will always be the committed teachers who continue to serve their craft with knowledge, ethics and aesthetics.  In these spaces, the Pilates experience is different. Profit is not king here—it is present, but it does not overshadow. There is respect, truth, and substance.

Pilates has evolved but unfortunately, not always for the better. Nowadays, it is often distorted, superficial, and void of soul. That is why I feel it my duty to transmit Pilates as I have received it: authentic, traditional, and classic in character, as my teacher passionately taught me in 2009.

In a cynical world, romanticism is resistance. In a commercialised world, quality is revolution. In a self-interested world, ethics is the only answer.
